jesus was on the fox lot

the hills were alive with a lot more than the sound of music this week as i looked up into the sky as i was entering my building and saw this. now, some people might claim that it was simply the light reflecting off the building. but others of us will take this as a chance to say "hi" to the Lord. it only lasted about a minute and then it was gone. or HE was gone, should i say. next stop: paramount.

x-dolls

these are a series of stills created with x-files dolls. i just really love the imagination and the attention to detail, even in the lighting. plus, the effort made here to create an interesting story within the frame is to be commended. oh, and also i just love the x-files and my inner nerd wishes i had these dolls at my house.

back to basics

i really like this shot. the contrast b/w black and white is stark but beautiful. there aren't a lot of "grey" areas. i, of course, like what it represents: the tools of the trade, so to speak, of filmmaking. the asa, or film speed :: the meausre of sensitivity to light. i titled this post "back to basics" because i'm finding more and more than digital only satisfies me so much. there are times when i like to get my hands dirty, so to speak. i want to feel myself working, creating the environment and making the choices to take the perfect shot.

what's this blog?

i realized how visually driven i am. how images move me, inspire me, scare me, envelop me, change me. so, this is where i will post imagery that does, well, all of the above, in hopes that you, too, will feel something by seeing them. ::emoss::
